Removal contaminated gloves

It is necessary to take off medical gloves very carefully, avoiding contamination of the hands skin and splashing fluids

• Make a fold of the glove (pinch) closer to the edge of the cuff of the glove without touching the wrist

•  Pull the glove

•  Remove the glove by turn it inside out 

•  Place the removed glove in the glove collection container*

•  Bring the fingers of the gloveless hand under the cuff of the other glove

•  Remove the glove by turning it inside out

•  Place the removed glove in the glove collection container*

•  Perform hygienic hand asepsis (see algorithm ‘Hygienic hand asepsis’)

• When removing the first glove hold it with your gloved hand

•  Remove the second glove by twisting it off while holding the first glove in place

• Place both gloves in the glove collection container
